Customer Reviews

very limited, not to be used alone

Having successfully learned a few other languages in the classroom, abroad, and through traditional self-study, I was intrigued by what I read about the Rosetta Stone method. I'd already had an introduction to Chinese by starting the "Teach Yourself" series, and picking up some tips from a couple of Chinese friends, so had a few grammatical concepts under my belt before starting Rosetta Stone (RS). But I still found it difficult to figure out what a particular lesson was trying to teach me in RS, and what individual phrases were supposed to mean. Referring to the version of another language I know well helped me to understand the Chinese, but this is time-consuming and could be remedied by some kind of online help.^M

The best ever!

I'm 11 years old and find the Rosetta Stone Chinese simply the best language learning method program out there. I have been using it for a while now and my Chinese teacher (Who is Chinese) Says I speak Chinese like a native, without an Australian accent! I find it fun and simple to use but very effective. It makes you associate the words with pictures that stay in your mind so you don't fall in the habit of translating everything. ^M

Learn Chinese, then practice with this program

Had I known then what I know now, I would have never bought this, at least not now. ^M
