Customer Reviews

Love it!

I am a beginner at screenwriting so I was a little nervous when I bought this program. However, it is wonderful!! I can't believe how easy it is to use.

very good piece of software for script writing

From out the box -- while very similar to Microsoft word -- the vast improvement here is "time" saved on getting the polished look right out the box. This software remembers all the right things you will need to have a finished and proffessional looking script (talent not included).

this product is total garbage

Final Draft is a totally inept program. Never has a product failed so completely. There are not enough words in the English language to fully describe how awful this product is. I have been a professional writer for eight years; I would rather use charcoal pencils and toilet paper to write my next screenplay. The mere fact that this sad joke of product can be packaged and marketed is testament to the fact that there are so few competing screenwriting software programs out there and so they enjoy somewhat of a monopoly. I've just switched to Movie Magic and I'll report on that software shortly. To try and list the shortcomings of Final Draft makes me too nauseous to even contemplate. But here's one crucial and highly sadistic defect: I constantly had to save my material because the program had a penchant for crashing. I couldn't even tally the number of hours I've lost to this "Professional" scriptwriting program. Final Draft is total garbage. If you're a self hater and like to waste countless hours trying in vain to retrieve lost writing, like a program that is counter intuitive and has none of the requisite functions that would even qualify it as a screenwriting program then this super turd is for you.
