You'll be addicted to it!
I bought this game for my 7 year old daughter and the first week I was glued to it. She now plays it at every opportunity. You learn to manage various aspects of the zoo from maintenance to purchasing animals for exhibits. And if you don't provide guests with concession stands and toilets they soon leave or become irritated. My daughter set up a few aquariums filled with tiger sharks and great whites and she's learned how to put guests in the tank. Some swim out, some become lunch. Great game! Looking to get other games like this.
FANTASTIC
I love this game. I want to be a zoologist or a zookeeper, so it's perfect. I think it's very realistic too. The animals get sick, reproduce, and everything. I STRONGLY recommend this game!!
Zoo Tycoon: Up to standards and beyond!
This is tons better than Roller Coaster, Sea World and all the other "theme park" tycoon games. The details are great, the animals are colorful and fun to look at and the scenarios are challenging, not easy-peasy like other games. The Dinosaur pack adds a really cool element to the game (They have almost all the animals found in Jurassic Park!) and the Marine tanks and animals are extremly detailed (Look at the shadows!) and cute. The only complaints I have are that the jaguars get ticked off if you don't give them a toy and the Bengal Tigers breed too much. Otherwise it is the perfect cure to boredom. A must buy!
