Lego Star Wars I and II: Same Complaint

I left this exact review of Lego Star Wars II. No use rewriting because it is the exact same problem:^M

LISTEN

For one thing yes you need pixel shader 1.1. No you dont need to spend $100 on a new card that has it. $30 bucks will get you a card that runs it. These negative reviews about people needing pixel shaders are BS. A pixel shader is in almost every card nowadays. Its very common. And also. There are people complaining that dells should be able to run it. Dells are crap. All prebuilt computers crap. Build your own. Its easy.^M

Looks great if you can actually load the game

I am gaming junkie. I bought and installed about 25 PC games this year. I bought this game and encountered an installation error, which after some research appears to be a common problem. Never mind that my PC met all the performance specs. Eventually I was able to determine that if you encountered this particular error message, you could call a (toll) number and get a replacement disk, for free. Apparently I wasn't the first to encounter this problem. A few weeks after I called, the replacement software appeared, but I encountered the same failure to load the software. The game looks great on TV commercials - I bought this for my young son, but he was never able to play it. I found Eidos' customer support to be minimal......bush-league really. I've never had any difficulty installing another game, but this one got me.
