Worse than Norton

I thought Norton was bad, constantly freezing my computer with one or another of its components. Well, McAfee is worse. For just anti-virus, you might want to try Avast. For a suite to try, I have no recommendations except ... don't.

Anti-Virus & Anti-Spyware doesn't detect keyloggers

Norton was the best anti-virus around 2000. Problem was, you couldn't get their stuff on sale. They knew they were good. McAfee got you to buy their things by giving you trial softare, and letting you keep running the old versions. When XP came out, I had to get the best...Norton. McAfee wasn't even ready. However, later when I re-evaluated McAfee was catching things Norton wouldn't. They got the edge back. I switched. When I went to buy the new one, I started getting pop-ups during on-line work, classes, games, omg. McAfee tells you, unless you uninstall their software you can't disable to pop up. But, this is what got me. I had (2) key loggers McAfee didn't catch: KGB & Sc-Keylog Pro 3.2. McAfee Anti-virus and Anti-spyware will not get rid of them even if you detect PUP's. Their website makes it worse. They say the keyloggers are contraversial, and the don't want to consider them a virus incase someone needs to track your keystrokes and remotely find out what you are doing...omg! *.pif keyloggers can be pulled down from web pages now they are so prevalent. They steal bank passwords, and they are fine?!! McAfee is gone. Why do these companies have to get cheap with the engineering? Off-shore my uninstall buddy...I really don't know what they are thinking. Anyone seen the movie Office Space? That's what happens over there...I'm so livid, wall climbing pissed. I can't wait when Mr. Nigera starts drawing out my money because that's not a virus sir. Good-grief Charlie Brown. Trying to find something nice to say...the anit-spyware will find and remove more cookies any anything out there today. I went through over 6 demo programs. Please don't you dare off-shore the cookie person!

Keep this thing away from your PC.

I just got the automatic upgrade. THE PROGRAM DOES NOT HAVE A CLOSE FEATURE!!! That's right, once it's running on your computer, you cannot close it. I went to the manufacturer's tech support forum. Apparently, the people at McAffe haven't decided upon whether or not to include such a feature.I feel like I just downloaded a piece of malicious software! Read on for more complaints...
