Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 Plus Premier Elements 2.0
I have used Paintshop for several years, but recently when they sold to Corel and their tech support became less helpful, I decided to throw it away and change to something else. I checked out the reviews and everyone raved about Photoshop, but I couldn't afford the price tag. Those that used Photoshop Elements said it was great, so I gave the trial a shot. At the end of the trial I looked around for the best deal, and since I also have video I settled on this combo package. Photoshop Elements does everything you will need for photo editing and printing. If you area a professional, then pony up the extra cash for Photoshop.
Adobes pathetic support service
The combined product was well priced and the Photoshops software worked perfectly on my digital photos and was superior to any previous software. However I was ready to start transferring film taken with my high-end Sony camcorder bought in 2003 and found it impossible to capture the video. The Adobe support site was impossibly difficult and in the end I got to Technical support by phoning an Adobe corporate office. I was quickly told that my camcorder was not supported and there was no fix for the problem-the list of supported camcorders was quite short and was based on camcorders on sale since this software was launched.I could pack the software and return it for a full refund. Why a warning on the packaging cannot be displayed I cannot understand ? My camcorder is digital and has every up to date feature available!
