Customer Reviews

boneheaded

Norton Internet Security is the triumph of fear over common sense. In the middle of other activities, Norton pops up a dialogue box that says "Norton has detected a threat." It doesn't name the threat. It doesn't ecplain why the threat is occuring if you have Norton Internet Security on your computer. So if you do the cautious thing, and say "protect me" Norton shuts down all access to the internet and your e-mail. I haven't been able to turn mine back on for 4 weeks now. There's clicakble tabs and clickable categories that all take you to the same useless screens which tell you nothing actionable.^M

Great product

The same old Nort, with a couple of new features from the last 1 i had

Works but very inefficient user of CPU Memory

This is a good product but you have to wonder why can't they make one that is efficient in its use of space on your hard drive and not so memory and storage space intensive. The Wash Post tech editor says you might be better served by downloading AVG for free from [...]for viruses and using Windows own security system. Alas, once you install Norton you find it hard to get it off your PC, it conflicts with other programs and you need to pay for a new one each year!
