No problems here...

I've had this program now for a few months and it has performed perfectly. I've burned video DVD's, audio and video CD's and have not had one single problem. I used a different product for burning CD's only, but once I got the DVD burner I did some research and found great reviews of this product. I won't use any other program now that I've started using this program. It may not work for others on here but as stated before, I've had no problems what so ever.

Why I bought Nero 7 is probably why I shouldn't have bought Nero 7

I had been using Nero OEM, which I received with my DVDRW. Last month I bought the ADS Tech Instant Music device to convert my LPs to CD, which came with Nero Audio Suite. Unfortunately, Nero Audio Suite wouldn't coexist with Nero OEM, so I had to uninstall OEM and lost the ability to create DVDs. Since I liked SoundTrak, which was included in the Audio Suite I decided to fork over the $49.99 and upgrade to version 7 to get back the ability to burn DVDs. I can now burn DVDs, but lost a feature that was in the previous version of SoundTrak. For some reason Nero chose to not give the user the ability to monitor the recording in SoundTrak 2. Now you start the recording and hope that the source is okay, because the "monitor recording" option isn't available. You can see the peak meters move, but you can't listen. Why would Nero remove this option? I was hopefull that it was included in the upgrade. What a joke. After downloading the almost 100 Mb upgrade and starting the upgrade, it proceeds then fails because it can't find a file that is included as part of the upgrade. Worse yet, since the upgrade takes over the whole system you can't alt-tab to try and find the file yourself. The only option is to cancel the upgrade. BTW, this isn't my only issue with version 7, I just don't have the space to mention the rest. While there may be parts which are good, on the whole I find this a very disappointing product.

Dislike upgrade

Despite the glowing endorsement of others, I had nothing but trouble with Nero 7 Ultra. I could nor upgrade, and in trying to use burning rom files were missing despite reinstalling. Customer service replied in a week with programs to remove all Nero files, saying old files were to blame. It is a new hard drive with no previous Nero. I liked the old Nero fine.
