If you like Civ 4... this is a great add on

I like Civ 4 and Warlords just made it better. I recommend both! Hours and Hours and Hours of enjoyment... just make sure your computer can handle it!

FUN but somewhat lacking in something?!

In playing the game recently, it lacks a earth vision of all civs in the game (dissapointment = unhappyness ): ) There are a couple of mods and patches to play a full earth vison but, still lacking. For the transition between CIV IV and CIV IV warlords the obelisk was in all civilizations, now it is a monument and the obelisk is now part of the egyption empire's special buildings. Feels cheezy when they can't think of anything else to replace from a expansion pack. Although warloards now have newer controls, I wish they could improve the technology a bit that can expand your financial controls insted of manipulating the tax rate, Maybe an inflation control mechnisim. This new problem makes expansion a problem if the title of the expansion pack is "warloards" (IF you conqure land, there goes your expenditures to inflation!) No matter the funny quarks another expansion pack for domestic issues could be made (Firaxis: $$$$$ Bling-Bling). Well the game is best I've seen in a while, but can there be a better control system for this Civilized Conquest?

WishekN

Civilization games have been around it seem like forever. This was a pretty good one, but I have liked a couple of others better. If you're hooked on Civ, you should like this one, too.
